A new journal is born!

Thieme Publishers presents Sports Medicine International Open (SMIO), an Open Access journal publishing the very latest research results and developments in sports medicine and exercise science.

This quarterly publication covers basic and applied studies related to all aspects of exercise and performance science, providing a deeper understanding of biomedicine. The scientific scope of this journal includes training and testing, orthopaedics and biomechanics, clinical sciences, nutrition, behavioural sciences, physiology and biochemistry, genetics and molecular biology, and immunology. The journal publishes original papers, reviews, and letters to the editor.
