I want to thank Dr. Yadranko Ducic for serving as guest editor for this issue of Seminars in Plastic Surgery on “Free Tissue Transfer Reconstruction.” We also appreciate the efforts made by each outstanding author for sharing with us their knowledge.

Dr. Ducic is a facial plastic surgeon in Dallas and Fort Worth and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Baylor All Saints Medical Center in Fort Worth where he is director of the Skull Base Program, and Methodist Hospital in Dallas where he is codirector of the Face Transplant Program. He received his medical degree from University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years. He is board certified in both facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and otolaryngology–head and neck surgery.

He has published over 180 articles in the fields of cosmetic surgery (including rhinoplasty, chin augmentation, face lift, lip augmentation, laser resurfacing, and otoplasty), reconstructive surgery (including head and neck reconstruction), maxillofacial trauma, and skull base surgery.

Dr. Ducic has four children—Aleksa, Luka, Nikola, and Nadia—and is happily married to KaTrina. Dr. Ducic enjoys spending time with his family, indulging in sports, and traveling.
