Abstract
In the present study we investigated efficacy and tolerability of Rhodiola rosea root
extract SHR-5 (Rhodiolan® NE) in patients with burnout and fatigue syndrome. Five symptoms (fatigue, exhaustion,
depression, insomnia, loss of power) were recorded over 8 weeks and taken together
in a sum score. The Rhodiola extract showed an impressive highly significant and continuos
decline of the complaints up to 63 % together with very good tolerability.
