Lernziele
Der Schwerpunkt des Artikels liegt v. a. auf dem klinischen und neuroradiologischen Erscheinungsbild des posterioren reversiblen Enzephalopathiesyndroms (PRES). Die Lektüre verschafft dem Leser einen Überblick über Differenzialdiagnosen, Verlauf und Therapiemöglichkeiten. Die Pathophysiologie ist weitgehend unverstanden; Überlegungen dazu werden konträr diskutiert und im Folgenden nur kurz beleuchtet.
