Unerwünschte Arzneimittelwirkungen (UAW) sind in der Augenheilkunde ein häufiges Ereignis. Hinzu kommt der große Bereich der Arzneimittelwechselwirkungen. Im vorliegenden Beitrag kann nicht das gesamte Spektrum möglicher UAW angesprochen werden, vielmehr werden Schwerpunkte (z. B. Glaukommittel und systemisch eingesetzte Therapeutika) und aktuelle Aspekte hervorgehoben. Hierzu gehören u. a.:
