Significance

A novel N,P-ligand is employed in the copper-catalyzed 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of azomethine ylides giving the substituted pyrrolidine products in high yields and excellent enantio­selectivity. Significant improvement of substrate scope over previous studies is realized in this work.
