Anders als bei der echokardiografischen Standarduntersuchung werden bei der fokussierten Notfallechokardiografie nicht alle verfügbaren Schallfenster, Schnitte und Techniken eingesetzt. Vielmehr werden nur einige wesentliche Fragestellungen adressiert. Außerdem wird der Patient zumeist in Rückenlage untersucht. Dieser Beitrag stellt die Basistechniken für Intensiv- und Notfallmediziner vor.
