Die Behandlung von Barrett-Ösophagus und Barrett-Frühkarzinom ist eine Domäne der endoskopischen organerhaltenden Therapie geworden. Eine Kombination von endoskopischer Resektion und ablativen Verfahren hat hier die besten Ergebnisse gezeigt. Unter den ablativen Verfahren ist die Radiofrequenzablation (RFA) aufgrund guter Ergebnisse und einfacher Handhabung auch bei großen Ablationsarealen als das Standardverfahren anzusehen.
