Significance

In this latest report, Du Bois’ group introduces a unique valerolactam-derived dirhodium catalyst for intramolecular C-H amination. This novel catalyst provides the highest levels of enantioselectivity observed for the transition-metal-catalyzed C-H amination of sulfamate esters. Another significant feature of this protocol is the high level of chemoselectivity observed for the homoallyl sulfamate substrates.
