Significance
An extension of the In(I)-catalyzed allylation of ketones to the allylation of acyl hydrazones with allylboronates is reported. This method is applicable to a broad range of different substrates and generally gives good to excellent yields. The toluene-methanol solvent system, which is used in this method, also proves to be significantly more efficient for the allylation of ketones than previously used solvent systems.
