Medikamentös induzierter Absenzenstatus: Die Bedeutung des EEG für Diagnose und Behandlung
Absencestatus luxated by drugs: the role of the EEG in the diagnosis and its managementPublication History
Publication Date:
18 March 2008 (online)
Summary
Four patients with an absencestatus induced by drugs, are described. In three patients the use of neuroleptics was the probable cause, in the other indometacine could be incriminated. As yet an absencestatus after treatment with these medicaments has not been described.
Clinically, the diagnosis was not unequivocal. The EEG gave clear results, rapidly indicating the cause of the patient's clinical condition.
