Abstract
Magnetic resonance angiography and venography are rapidly developing technologies, and in many instances these studies can replace or add information to conventional angiography. Magnetic resonance venography (MRV) is a noninvasive technique that can be used to accurately diagnose deep venous thrombosis in the pelvis, lower extremities, and the neck and chest. MRAngiography for the diagnosis of pulmonary embolism is a more complicated endeavor, but preliminary results are promising. This article will review the current techniques and the recent literature of MRVenography and MR pulmonary angiography.
