Dorsale und ventrale Okzipitalwirbelformen

Zusammenfassung

Gestützt auf eigene Beobachtungen sowie Literaturangaben wird ein Teil der in der okzipitozervikalen Region erscheinenden Verkalkungen besprochen, und zwar je nach ihrer Lokalisation zunächst die dorsal, sodann die ventral gelegenen Formen. Nach ihren morphologischen Charakteristika wird versucht, diese knöchernen Strukturen aufgrund ihrer Höhenlage hinsichtlich ihrer entwicklungsgeschichtlichen Herkunft zuzuordnen. Dabei kommt die proatlantische und anteproatlantische Genese der Okzipitalwirbel in Frage. Die Einteilung erfolgt aus röntgenologischer Sicht.

Summary

Based on his own observations and on the literature, the author discusses various types of calcification in the occipital-cervical region, beginning with those situated dorsally and followed by ventral forms. An attempt is made to classify these changes, depending on their morphology and situation, from an embryo-logical point of view. The pro-atlantal and ante pro-atlanto origin of the occipital vertebrae is discussed. Differentiation depends on appearances.
