Zusammenfassung

Die Spezifität und Aussagekraft von Sonographie, Szintigraphie, Computertomographie und Angiographie in der präoperativen Diagnostik eines intrahepatischen Lipoms wird anhand einer Fallbeobachtung beschrieben und bewertet. Dabei erweist sich die computertomographische Untersuchung als überlegene Methode zur Erkennung dieses extrem seltenen Tumors, bedingt durch die charakteristischen Schwächungswerte des Fettgewebes.

Summary

A patient with a lipoma of the liver is described; the accuracy of sonography, scintigraphy, computer tomography and angiography in the pre-operative diagnosis is discussed. Computer tomography appears to be the method of choice for the recognition of this very rare tumour, in view of the characteristic attenuation produced by fatty tissue.
