Sonographische Befunde beim Cruveilhier-von-Baumgarten-Syndrom

Zusammenfassung

Die portale Hypertension als häufigste Komplikation einer Leberzirrhose vermag zur portalen Stromumkehr und zur Wiedereröffnung präformierter portalsystemischer Kollateralen zu führen. In der Vielfalt der hepatofugalen Umgehungskreisläufe stellt das Cruveilhier-von-Baumgarten-Syndrom mit Wiedereröffnung der obliterierten Umbilikalvene eine seltene, jedoch am Beispiel von 18 Patienten sonographisch sicher nachweisbare Variante der möglichen Kollateralen zur V. cava hin dar.

Summary

Portal hypertension is the most common complication of cirrhosis of the liver and leads to a reversal of blood flow and re-opening of pre-formed portal-systemic collaterals. Amongst a variety of possible hepato-fugal collaterals, the Cruveilhier-von Baumgarten syndrome, consisting of the reopening of umbilical veins, is a rare variant. It has been possible to demonstrate this clearly by sonography in 18 patients.
