Das Cooper'sche Band, ligamentärer Bestandteil der Beckenanatomie, wurde bereits 1804 von Sir Astley Paston Cooper beschrieben. In der modernen, operativen Medizin hat es seinen festen Stellenwert.

Abstract

Cooper's ligament, part of a more extensive ligamentous expansion of the pelvis, was first described by Sir Astley Paston Cooper in 1804. It is still of great interest and value for modern medicine, especially in regard to the surgical treatment of female stress incontinence.
