Skleritis nodosa, ein seltenes Symptom des Morbus Still

Das Auge zeigt bei den unterschiedlichen Formen des kindlichen Rheumatismus spezifische Symptome: Beteiligung der Bindehaut, der Episklera, der Sklera, der Uvea und der Netzhaut. Die Symptome des Papillenödems, der Episkleritis und der Skleritis nodosa lassen sich in das klinische Bild des Morbus Still einordnen. Verlaufsbeobachtung und Remission unter antirheumatischer Behandlung bestätigen die Diagnose. Im gezeigten Fall kann man der Skleritis nodosa eine Schlüsselstellung für die Diagnose eines Morbus Still nicht absprechen.

Summary

In the different types of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, the eye shows specific alterations: involvement of conjunctiva, episclera, sclera, uvea and retina. The symptoms of papilledema, episcleritis and scleritis nodosa are compatible with the clinical picture of Still's disease. The patient's history, and remission under corticoid and antirheumatic therapy confirm the diagnosis. In the case reported, scleritis nodosa may be considered a key symptom of Still's disease.
