Extrakapsuläre Kataraktextraktion mit Implantation von Hinterkammerlinsen

Zusammenfassung

Erfahrungsbericht über intra- und extrakapsuläre Kataraktextraktionsmethoden in Zusammenhang mit der Implantation verschiedener Kunststofflinsentypen an der I. Universitäts-Augenklinik in Wien während der letzten 5 Jahre. Innerhalb der letzten beiden Jahre wurde fast ausschließlich die extrakapsuläre Extraktion mit Implantation einer Hinterkammerlinse vorgenommen (431 Augen). Aus der Analyse der Ergebnisse geht hervor, dass es sich dabei um das schonungsvollste, den aphaken Patienten am besten rehabilitierende Verfahren handelt.

Summary

Report on experience gathered during the past 5 years at the 1st University Eye Clinic in Vienna with intracapsular and extracapsular cataract extraction methods in connection with the implantation of various types of artificial lenses. During the past 2 years extracapsular extraction was performed almost exclusively with implantation of posterior chamber lenses (431 eyes). Analysis of the results indicates that this procedure involves the least discomfort and offers the aphakic patient the best chances for rehabilitation.
