Zusammenfassung

Vor der extrakapsulären Katarakt-Extraktion (ECCE) wurde die vordere Linsenkapsel mit dem Nd.-YAG Laser in 360 Fällen eröffnet. Nur 14 Patienten zeigten einen Druckanstieg. Bei 10 Patienten lag der Druck 30 Minuten vor der Katarakt-Extraktion über 24 mm Hg, bei 3 Patienten zwischen 30 u. 36 mm Hg und bei 1 Patient über 50 mm Hg. In diesem Fall war eine vorzeitige Operation erforderlich.

Summary

Prior to extracapsular cataract extraction (ECCE) the anterior capsule was opened in 360 cases using the Nd-YAG laser. Only 14 patients had elevated IOP. In 10 of these patients the IOP measured 30 min prior to cataract surgery exceeded 24 mm Hg; in 3 patients it was between 30 and 36 mm Hg; and in one patient it measured over 50 mm Hg. In this case an earlier operation ahead of schedule was required.
