Zusammenfassung

Die thrombolytische Therapie bei Zentralgefäßverschlüssen ist eine therapeutische Methode mit vielen Kontraindikationen, jedoch auch mit der besten Prognose für den Visus. Bei dem Entschluß für fibrinolytische Therapie ist ein genaues Abwägen der ophthalmologischen Indikation und der internistischen Kontraindikationen notwendig. Wir haben 29 Patienten mit Zentralarterienverschluß und 16 Patienten mit Zentralvenenverschluß mit Streptokinase behandelt. Bei 6 Patienten konnte die Sehkraft bis zur Norm gebessert werden.

Summary

Thrombolytic therapy in occlusion of a central retinal vessel is a treatment method with many contraindications, but also with the best prognosis for vision. The decision for fibrinolytic therapy should be based on careful consideration of the ophthalmologic indications and the medical contraindications. We have used streptokinase in the management of 29 patients with central vein occlusion and in 16 patients with central artery occlusion. Normal vision was restored in 6 patients.
