Zur Problematik der ventralen Spondylodese an der Lendenwirbelsäule

Zusammenfassung

Es wird über 17 ventrale interkorporelle Spondylodesen an der Lendenwirbelsäule berichtet. Bei stets völliger Übereinstimmung von klinischem und radiologischem Befund fanden sich bei einer 2 - 5 Jahre postoperativ durchgeführten Befundkontrolle in etwa 50% der Fälle schlechte Ergebnisse.

Auf die Bedeutung der Indikationsstellung wird eingegangen. Die entsprechende Unzulänglichkeit wird vom Autor der Operationsmethode angelastet, indem die ventrale Spaneinpflanzung keine ausreichend lange primäre Stabilität gewährleistet.

Abstract

The article reports on 17 cases of ventral intracorporal spondylodesis at the lumbar vertebral column. Poor results were seen in about 50% of the cases in a follow up examination performed 2 - 5 years postoperatively; in all these cases, clinical and radiological findings agreed completely.

The article points to the importance of proper indication. The inefficiencies are ascribed to the method of surgery, since, in the author's opinion, ventral bone chip implantation will not quarantee primary stability of sufficiently long duration.
