Zusammenfassung

Das Floppy Eyelid-Syndrom scheint auf einer Degeneration des kollagenen Bindegewebes zu beruhen. Deswegen kann es zu typischen und funktionell erheblich störenden Lidstellungsanomalien kommen. Die Chirurgie erfordert eine diesem Zustand Rechnung tragende Technik.

Summary

The floppy eyelid syndrome seems to be the sequel to a degeneration of the connective tissue. This leads to typical malpositons of the eyelids with subsequent disorders of the conjunctiva and the cornea. Surgical correction must respect the particularities of the syndrome.
