Zusammenfassung

Ein 48 Jahre alter Patient erlitt bei einem Grand mal-Epilepsieanfall Luxations-Impressionsfrakturen beider Schultergelenke. Der Patient wurde erfolgreich durch die Implantation zweier Neer-Totalendoprothesen operativ versorgt. In einem Zeitraum von 12 Wochen war der Patient beschwerdefrei, zeigte ein gutes funktionelles Ergebnis und konnte seinem Beruf erneut nachgehen.

Abstract

A 48-year-old patient sustained depressed fracture dislocations of both shoulder joints during a grand mal epileptic seizure. Surgical treatment consisting of implantation of two Neer total replacements was successful: the functional result was good, and within 12 weeks the patient was free of pain and able to resume work.
