The goal of the presented retrospective study: to determine correlation between mammography, ultrasound findings, colour flow maping, magnetic resonance imaging, aspiration cytology and definitive histology.

Material and methods: We performed in period between January 1995 and September 2006 more than 80 000 mammographic, about 100 000 ultrasound examination and more than 600 MRI examinations. Phyllodes tumor was discovered in 31 cases. We compare results from basical clinical examination, mammography, ultrasound, colour flow maping, magnetic resonance and cytology with definitive histology.

Results: Only clinical examination was absolute coincidence in 20 cases, 11 cases were suspition or discrepancy. Only mammography 22 cases was perfect correct, only ultrasound 28 cases coincidently. But by combine mammography, ultrasound, magnetic resonance- we have got absolute coincidence with histology in 30 cases from 31, only 1 case was incorect.

Conclusion: Mammography, ultrasound and magnetic resonance and result of phyllodes tumor of the breast were equal to findings of aspiration cytology. Combination of method of examination degrease the necessarity of aspiration cytology before surgical treatment.
