Significance

Monomer 5 was synthesized by Wittig-Horner reaction of 3 and 4 prepared according to a previous literature. The authors are able to synthesize polymers 1 and 2 via a Stille cross-coupling by selectively introducing different ratios of 5 (2%, 4%).
