Kernaussagen

Core statements

  • Ultrasound guided interventions may be performed either “free-hand” or with a needle guidance attached to the transducer.

  • Biopsy is performed with either fine needles or coarse needles and may be aspiration biopsies or core biopsies.

  • Ultrasound guided intervention has a low mortality risk and low risk of complications.

  • There is no international consensus as to the exact values of the laboratory data at which a biopsy should not be performed.
