Summary

A case of recurrent intestinal bleeding caused by colonic varices is presented. Markedly dilated tortuous varices of the entire colon were found at colonoscopy. Esophagogastroduodenoscopy and the radiographic examination of the small bowel were normal. Pathological portal vein changes were excluded by mesenteric arteriography.
