Zusammenfassung

Nach Legen eines zentralvenösen Katheters erfolgt der Nachweis der korrekten Lage üblicherweise durch Anfertigung eines Röntgenbildes des Thorax. Mit dieser Untersuchung konnte nachgewiesen werden, daß auch mittels Ultraschall eine sichere intravasale Identifikation des zentralvenösen Katheters möglich ist.

Abstract

After the insertion of a central venous line it is necessary to identify the correct position by making an x-ray of the ehest. It was demonstrated in this study that it is possible to identify the correct intravascular position of the central venous catheter by ultrasonic evaluation.
