Zusammenfassung

Bei 209 Schwangeren mit völlig unauffälligem Schwangerschaftsverlauf wurden mittels gepulstem Dopplerultraschall, teilweise mehrfach, Blutflußmessungen in der Arteria umbilicalis (n = 276)und der fetalen Aorta (n = 244) zwischen der 29. und 42. SSW durchgeführt. Es wurden der Pulsatilitätsindex (PI) und der Resistance-Index (RI) berechnet. Die statistische Auswertung zeigte Normalverteilungen für beide Indices. Die Regressionskoeffizienten wurden berechnet und die Kurven mit den 95 %-Konfidenzintervallen dargestellt. In der Arteria umbilicalis zeigen die Regressionsgeraden sowohl des PI als auch des RI einen signifikanten Abfall mit fortschreitender Schwangerschaft, in der Aorta zeigt der PI einen leichten, jedoch nicht signifikanten Abfall, der RI bleibt konstant. Der Vergleich mit Referenzwerten anderer Autoren wird diskutiert.

Abstract

In 209 pregnancies without complications we recorded blood velocity waveforms of the umbilical artery and the foetal aorta between 29 and 42 weeks of gestation by means of a Duplex-pulsed Doppler system (umbilical artery: n = 276; foetal aorta: n = 244). We calculated the pulsatility index (PI) and the resistance index (RI). Both indices were normally distributed. The regression lines and reference ranges for the 95 % confi- dence intervals are shown. The PI as well as the RI of waveforms of the umbilical artery demonstrated a significant fall with increasing gestation. The PI of the foetal aorta demonstrated a gentle, non-significant fall; RI showed no changes throughout the third trimester. Comparisons with the reference ranges published by other authors are discussed.
