Abstract

Three antibiotic compounds, saroaspidin A, B, and C have been isolated from Hypericum japonicum Thunb. (Sarothra japonica) and their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data. The compounds contain phloroglucinol and filicinic acid moieties.
