Abstract

Nine indole alkaloids have been isolated from the roots of Ervatamia yunnanensis and identified as: heyneanine (1), ibogamine (2), coronaridine (3), voacangine (4), voacangine hydroxyindolenine (5), ibogaine (6), (+)-minovincine (7), voachalotin (8), and a new compound named ervayunine (9). The structure of ervayunine has been determined from physical and spectral data.
