Abstract

In addition to the known Compounds senegalensin, lupinifolin, erythrisenegalone, and auriculatin, two new isoflavones named erysenegalensein H and erysenegalensein I were isolated from the dichloromethane extract of the stem bark of Erythrina senegalensis DC. On the basis of spectroscopic methods their structures were elucidated as 5,2′,4′-trihydroxy-8-(γ,γ-dimethylallyl)-2″-hydroxyisopropyldihydrofurano[4″,5″:6,7]-isoflavone and 5,2′,4′-trihydroxy-8-(γ,γ-dimethylallyl)-3″-hydroxy-2″,2″-dimethyldihydropyrano [5″,6″:6,7]-isoflavone, respectively.
