Zusammenfassung
Bewegung ist gesund, Bewegungsmangel macht krank: Allgemeinplätze? Interessant und herausfordernd wird es, sobald Details zur Diskussion stehen. Welche Art von Bewegung? Wie oft, wie viel, wie stark, wie lange? Die Datenlage zu den positiven Wirkungen von Bewegung ist überzeugend. Literaturbasierte Zusammenstellungen der Wirkung von körperlicher Aktivität lesen sich wie die Versprechungen eines Wundermittels (Tab. [1]). Viele internationale wissenschaftliche Gesellschaften, Ärzteverbände sowie öffentliche Gesundheitsbehörden haben in den letzten Jahren umfangreiche Literaturzusammenstellungen mit sehr konkreten Einzelheiten zum gesundheitlichen Nutzen körperlicher Aktivität herausgegeben [1].
Abstract
Does it go without saying that body exercise is healthy and lack of exercise is unhealthy? The details of such a discussion are not only interesting but also quite challenging. Several questions arise, as posed in this article, about vibration training, therapy and training of muscle function. They include: What type of exercise? How often? How much vigour? How long? The article further shows that data regarding positive effects of exercise is quite impressive. Indeed a combination of the effects of body exercise based on the available literature gives the reader a very rosy picture (Table [1]). In the last years, many international scientific organisations, medical associations, as well as public health authorities have published extensive literature with concrete details on the health advantages of body exercise [1]. Objectives, safety and efficacy of the whole body vibration with the side-alternating Galileo system are discussed.
