Dr. Dennis Choat is a Colon and Rectal Surgeon in practice in Atlanta, GA. Dennis was born in Birmingham, AL, and received an M.D. degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. His general surgery training was conducted at the Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta, and he completed a colon and rectal residency at the Ochsner Clinic, New Orleans, LA. After completing his colorectal training in 1998, Dennis joined the Georgia Colon and Rectal Associates, in Atlanta. He is board certified in General Surgery and Colon and Rectal Surgery.

In Atlanta, Dennis maintains a busy clinical practice in which office management is a critical component. He is an active participant of the group's colon and rectal residency program and is a member of multiple professional associations. In addition, he has published several peer-reviewed manuscripts.

Dennis lives in Peachtree City, a suburb of Atlanta, with his wife Christine, who is also a physician, and two children, Jack and Aiden. When not working, he enjoys golf, cooking, and learning important lessons from his two children.
