Ein Verhaltensvergleich in zwei unterschiedlichen psychiatrischen Langzeit-Rehabilitations-Milieus

Diese Studie vergleicht Verhaltensaspekte zweier stationärer Bewohnergruppen mit dauerhaften psychiatrischen Problemen. Eine Gruppe war in herkömmlichen psychiatrischen Stationen untergebracht, die andere wohnte in einem neu erbauten Bungalowkomplex, der sich auf dem Klinikgelände befand. Diese Studie vergleicht Verhaltensprofile dieser beiden Gruppen. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die Bungalowbewohner deutlich weniger ausgeprägte psychiatrische Schwierigkeiten aufwiesen als ihre „Kollegen” auf den Stationen. Um dem nachzugehen, suchten wir nach möglichen Tendenzen bei der ursprünglichen Auswahl. Wir analysierten frühere Aufzeichnungen über beide Gruppen, um für dieses Ergebnis eine Erklärung zu finden. Diese Erkenntnisse werden hinsichtlich der Erbringung psychiatrischer Versorgung in kleineren geschlossenen klinischen Einrichtungen sowie einer Pflegepraxis diskutiert, die mit effektiven Betreuungsphilosophien einen Akzent auf Entscheidungsfreiheit, Autonomie und Engagement in der Versorgung setzt.
