Zusammenfassung

Anhand der Fallstudie einer Patientin mit fälschlich diagnostiziertem Karpaltunnelsyndrom wird die besondere Bedeutung der Befunderhebung deutlich.

Anstelle eines operativen Eingriffs umfasste die erfolgreiche Behandlung Haltungskorrektur, zervikale Retraktion sowie beidseitige Handübungen als Heimübungsprogramm.

Abstract

This case study of a patient with falsely diagnosed carpal tunnel syndrome illustrates the importance of assessment.

In place of surgical intervention, the successful treatment included postural correction, cervical retraction and hand exercises as home training programme.
