ABSTRACT

Colonoscopic polypectomy is a common but potentially challenging procedure. Advances in polypectomy techniques have allowed clinicians to safely remove colonic lesions previously thought to be unmanageable endoscopically. Proper equipment and technique assist in minimizing complications. This article describes equipment and new techniques involved in polypectomy and offers suggestions to manage difficult situations.
