Folgende Krankheitsbilder der thorakalen Aorta sind beschrieben:
Aneurysma verum (Aortenektasie) Aortendissektion Intramurales Hämatom Aortenruptur nicht-gedeckte Ruptur gedeckte Ruptur, Aneurysma spurium (penetrierendes) Ulkus der Aortenwand Arteriosklerotische Veränderungen der Aorta (Plaques mit oder ohne thrombotische Auflagerungen) Entzündliche Erkrankungen der Aorta, zum Beispiel Takayashu-Arteriitis Lues Angeborene Anomalien der Aorta, zum Beispiel Aortenisthmusstenose Lageanomalien Neoplasien der Aorta
Im Folgenden werden das Aneurysma verum, die Aortendissektionen, die intramuralen Hämatome und das penetrierende Ulkus vorgestellt und die diagnostischen und therapeutischen Möglichkeiten diskutiert.
