A novel water soluble amino acid, 1-amino-3-[2-[7-(6-deoxy-α/β-galactopyranos-6-yl)-1,7-dicarba-closo-dodecarboran(12)-1-yl]ethyl]cyclobutanecarboxylic acid, has been developed as a potential therapeutic agent for use in neutron capture therapy.
