Iron(III) catalyzed conversion of bis-β-keto esters with bis-vinyl ketones furnished a poly-Michael addition product with a weight average molecular weight of Mw = 6 · 103 g/mol and Mw/Mn = 1.7 and a constitution bearing carbonyl moieties all along the polymer backbone.
