(1S,2S)-N-(styrene-p-sulfonyl)-1,2-dipenylethylenediamine was copolymerized with styrene and divinylbenzene to give functionalized polymers. These polymers were shown to be good ligands in the iridium and ruthenium catalyzed hydride transfer reduction (HTR) of acetophenone. However, reutilization of these heterogeneous catalysts proved to be difficult.
