One step construction of phenazinone skeletons with complex alkyl substituents was achieved via the reaction of trialkylsiloxyphenazines A) with in situ prepared triflates, or with allylic halides B) in the presence of silver triflate or C) under high pressure. The method A and C were applied to the synthesis of lavanducyanin (WS-9659A) 2.
