Reductive coupling of propargylic bromides with tributylstannyl chloride was performed in a regioselective manner by the aid of magnesium metal and a catalytic amount of lead(II) bromide in THF, affording allenyltributylstannanes. In a similar manner, allyl-, vinyl-, and aryl-tributylstannanes were prepared from the corresponding halides.
