Tris(trimethylsilyl)cyclopropenylium Hexachloroantimonate and Related Compounds Cyclopropenation of bis(trimethylsilyl)acetylene (10) with methyl (trimethylislyl)diazoacetate (9) affords methyl 1,2,3-tris(trimethylsilyl)-2-cyclopropene-1-carboxylate (11). Treatment of the corresponding acid chloride 15 with antimony(V) chloride yields tris(trimethylsilyl)cyclopropenylium hexachloroantimonate (5).
