Amine-alkoxycarbonylboranes, amine · BH2CO2R (amine = trimethylamine, methylamine, N-methylmorpholine, pyridine, and diisopropyl (methylamino)methylphosphonate; R = methyl, ethyl, propyl, allyl, and 2-methylpropyl) were prepared in high yield by reacting the amine-carboxyborane with a trialkyl orthoformate in the presence of diethyl ether-boron trifluorate complex as a catalyst.
