4-Aryl, 4-heteroaryl- and 4-vinyl substituted (1,3-butadiynyl)-amines 7 and 8 are prepared in a one-pot synthesis by the successive treatment of the (3,4,4-trichloro-3-buten-1-ynyl)amines 1 with two equivalents of butyllithium and zinc chloride and by the palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling of the resulting aminobutadiynylzinc chlorides 4 with alkenyl, aryl and heteroaryl iodides, respectively.
