It has been found that commerically available urea-hydrogen peroxide complex offers considerable advantage over 1,4-diazobicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO)-hydrogen peroxide for the preparation of bis(trimethylsilyl) peroxide from N,N′-bis(trimethylsilyl)urea.
