Vinyl and aryl triflates 1 (12 examples) react with 2-furylzinc chloride (2) in the presence of catalytic amounts of tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(0), to give 2-vinyl- and 2-arylfurans 3, usually in good to high yield.
