Five-Ring heterocycles from 4,4-Bis(trifluormethyl)-Substituted Hetero-1,3-dienes and Trimethylsilyl Cyanide Trimethylsilyl cyanide has been used as a synthon for not only the non-existing isocyanic acid, but also for carbon monoxide in the synthesis of five-membered heterocyclic compounds.
