A variety of ester, having, the general formulation (CH3)3-xNH3-BH2COOR (x=0.2) were prepared in good yield by the reaction of the precursor amine-carboxyborane with equimolar quantities of alkyl carbonochloridate and triethylamine in the presence of a catalytic amount of 4-dimethylaminopyridine.
